PM Service & Oil Change
This is the most-booked service in the shop, and it is the cheapest insurance in trucking. A PM is not just oil — it is the one hour a month somebody looks at the whole truck before it strands you.
What is in the package
- Full-service oil change — blend or full synthetic to spec
- Genuine Fleetguard lube and fuel filters
- Chassis lubrication and driveline check
- Brake inspection — linings, drums, chambers, slack adjusters
- Air-system check for leaks and governor operation
- Coolant, DEF, power steering and all fluid levels topped off
- Tire pressure and wear across every position
- Lights, belts, hoses, batteries and charging system
You leave with a written list of anything found, split into "fix now" and "watch it" — with prices, so nothing lands on you as a surprise later.
What it costs
PM Package 1 for Detroit DD13/DD15/DD16 is $509. PM Package 2 is $529. Larger sump and specialty engines run to $589. Those are complete prices — oil, filters and labor, not a teaser rate with parts stacked on afterwards.
Cummins, PACCAR, Volvo and Mack are all welcome; we quote to the engine.
How often
Most highway fleets run 20,000 to 25,000 miles between services, and severe-duty or heavy-idle trucks come in sooner. If your truck idles a lot, that idle time is engine hours the odometer never shows.
The honest test: if you cannot remember the last PM, the truck is due. Book a standing slot and we will keep you on schedule so the reminder is not living in your head.
